Today, is Saturday. So, since I had nothing to do, I took a bus and train ride down to the biggest shopping mall in Vancouver, Metrotown. Getting there took me 45 minutes which was the normal travelling time since it the mall was in the suburbs.

The mall is huge and nice. But of course, compared to the ones back home... I give our local ones a 101%. The shops there are more upmarket with nicer and trendier things. I think it is the sale season and every shop is offering discounts. I mean to them it may be cheap but for us we have to watch our pockets a little.

I only managed to enjoy half of my lunch as I stupidly dropped the other half. I'm hungry...

On my way home, this stupid taxi driver tried to cheat me by quoting me a higher taxi fare but of course I did not fall for it. I argued my way through insisting that I alight if he is going to overcharge me and that I know the way back very well (in fact I don't). So, finally I paid him what I think is the right amount. He could not overcharge me as the taxis had this camera which monitors the taxi drivers every move.

I'm fine. No worries. But, I will try to avoid taxis for my stay here.
