The 2nd day of my hostel life. My room has lousy painted ceilings. So, when I off the lights to sleep, I see glowing holes which looked like glow worms. See no need for glow in the dark stickers.

Orientation was just more talks and talks. The fun part was walking round the school exploring with Yujia. Well, I have to say she knows the school better than me. School books here are terribly expensive. The stats textbook which retails at less than S$50 in Singapore is sold at double the price in UBC. I seriously wonder how those students can afford a basket full of textbooks. I only bought a stack of notes which costs me C$50! I suppose that stack of noted would have cost less than S$10 in singapore.

Money matters aside, my temporary house mate has just moved out. In other words, I have the whole house to myself! Being alone has its good and bad, the whole is sooooooooooooooooo quiet and I have no one to talk too!

Weather had been warm the whole day. It was about 20 degrees. Yeah, you all think I am crazy but 20 degrees is hot.
